Amphastar Dining Hall
The Amphastar Dining Hall is imagined as a covered park space situated between two existing office buildings. The clients wanted to introduce a space on campus where workers could take a break. Instead of enclosing the area with a traditional building, we envisioned it as a covered park, thereby enhancing the natural elements found on site. The space is designed to enhance the workers' daily experiences and encourage communal interactions. The project's primary form features a large porous surface with a warm wooden underbelly.
Large skylights allow natural light to flood in, illuminating indoor trees and creating communal seating areas for dining.
